Me and this crazy chick who I’m SO proud to call my girlfriend! She’s pretty amazing. Go follow her, you’ll be glad you did!
A reminder to all that my ask is alwaysopen to anyone who needs comfort, encouragement, advice, or just someone who will listen. I don’t judge. Please don’t hesitate!
This is so calming for whatever reason.
This is Lisa, my 19-year old sister. Lisa is a cheerleader and she’s in a show choir. She enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and listening to music, and modeling. Lisa hopes to be a veterinary assistant when she’s older. She loves to laugh and loves making others laugh. Lisa has down syndrome. She is just like you and I, except she has one extra chromosome. That’s all. Lisa is a completely normal person, and is in no way “disabled” or “retarded”. She is a perfect example of why I despise the words “retard” and “retarded”. It offends me because people like Lisa do not deserve to be talked about in such a derogatory manner. Lisa’s been bullied, but she brushes it off with a smile, knowing that not everybody in the world is a jerk. She’s my biggest inspiration because she is the most optimistic and happy person even through the toughest times. She can find the good in any situation, and I’m so lucky to have her as my older sister <3
